A Resource Instance is any cloud resource managed by Facets — databases, compute instances, load balancers, storage buckets, etc. Each unique resource counts as one RI regardless of size.
For SaaS plans, discounts apply automatically as you scale. The first 250 additional RIs are $10/month each, and 251–500 RIs are $8/month each. For deployments exceeding 500 RIs, contact us for custom pricing.
Facets-hosted (SaaS): we manage the control plane in our secure cloud — your applications and data stay in your cloud account. Self-hosted (Enterprise): everything runs in your VPC for complete control and compliance, ideal for regulated industries.
Yes, cloud infrastructure costs (AWS, GCP, Azure) are billed directly by your cloud provider. Facets pricing covers the orchestration platform, not the underlying cloud resources.
